Sawako was a sound sculptor, a timeline-based artist and a signal alchemist in the urban life environment. Her works mixed field recordings with digital signal processing, creating beautiful, delicate and organic structures.

All of her work is available for pay what you want on Bandcamp for your appreciation. All proceeds will be donated toward organizations supporting women in the arts & technology.

In the neon-lit depths of Venus, beneath a sky forever blanketed in smog, lies Fortuna—a city of survival, where debts are inherited, and freedom is just another currency. Here, life is a cycle of labor, cold contracts, and neon dreams. The question is: what would you do if you lived in Fortuna? Would you embrace the system, working tirelessly to pay off your inherited debt, hoping to break the loop? Or would you rebel, searching for a way out, hacking the network, dealing under the table, finding your own path? Maybe you’d become something else—a drifter, a musician, a wanderer lost in the sound of the city, turning its chaos into rhythm. This is more than a soundscape. It’s a mental exercise, a way to reflect on the struggles of a world dictated by contracts, scarcity, and survival. The world of Fortuna is fiction—but how different is it from ours?
